KamadobigJoe help

Hi everyone, I just picked up a used Big Joe kamado and the outer wire mesh band that wraps around the top rim has disintegrated (see photo). Can someone confirm this is repairable? Is this replaced by the gasket kit or the wire mesh from the kamado site?
Also, before putting the new one on, do you recommend scraping the leftover residue/old material off first? Also, the lid hinge seems to be damaged but I am unsure how to go about fixing it (see photos) would anyone have an idea for that? Thank you I am a total noob!
