As someone from The Netherlands who’s been living in Asia for a while, one of the things I miss the most from home are the deep fried snacks. Especially Bitterballen.
I decided to try and make my own and they came out even better than I was hoping for. Probably the best thing I’ve ever cooked.

These look like deep fried gravy balls and I never knew I needed something more.
I remember eating these for the first time when I visited Amsterdam. I absolutely love Bitterballen!

Vroeg me altijd al af hoe de bal van iets gemaakt word zo vloeibaar als ragout.
Had moeten zien aankomen dat je het gewoon in de koeling steekt.
