    They had 3 tiers of fatty tuna, pictured here are the first and third tier respectively (I got the second tier too, just no pictures)

    Japan really ruins sushi prices for the rest of the world. You come home and suddenly $8 a piece feels illegal.

    We use yen in Japan. Our salaries are also in yen.

    Ok let’s compare prices for American food in Japan vs in America. Import food is always going to be more expensive than domestic food.  Sometimes I see nostalgic stuff like cinnamon toast crunch cereal in the store but I can’t reconcile paying the import price ….
