Luckily she didn’t try and bite it

Is it something edible at all? Frozen chocolate?

  2. Absolutely they made the chocolate shell too thick, it’s supposed to break really easily if made really thin like it’s supposed to.

  3. My2cents_0

I would have asked him to go ahead and break it if I couldn’t do after he told me how to. Save time and embarrassment and possibly see if it’s just made wrong

Obviously they made it too thick and it should be much easier to break but if you’re going to hit it with all the force of a toddler with toy hammer you’re gonna have a bad time.

I would have flipped it over to see if it was hollow (and how thick that shell was) around the halfway point. Otherwise, I’d be afraid of ending up with my dessert all over the table.

No fork is available? OP must be drunk or has the fine motor control of a toddler.

Give me simple, hearty and delicious food any day of the week. I don’t need dining to be an “experience”.

  8. CompetitiveRub9780

I mean… she was indeed acting like a toddler at the end and making a mess. That would have been so embarrassing

  9. OleRando

The chocolate is definitely too thick but there is a A LOT of user error going on here.

  10. You could’ve tried hulk smash on the chocolate, surprised you didn’t!

  11. Fine dining you say? Time to grab the fork anc hammer it in instead. Don’t use the spoon like a club. Do the hammer and chisel with the fork at least you’ll have class.

  12. SoCalCognac

Jeez, you could probably break a window if you threw that.

  13. From reading the comments I’ve learned that I should never go to a fine dining establishment where breaking things open is part of the experience.

I would have asked for a steak knife and surgically stabbed that delicious looking little hemispherical bastard until I reached its delicious internal secrets.

Why did they served her a mfkin jawbreaker

  15. Storm trooper accuracy here. How are you missing the center from like 2 inches away?

  16. Waiter, a chisel and hammer s’il vous plait!

  17. Sufficient_Topic1589

Is it supposed to be hollow inside or not? I would think that’s a solid piece of chocolate

  18. Nomad_Gui

That guy seems like a miserable person to be around

  19. CaptDrofdarb

Turns out it was actually solid chocolate. The dish you see here is called “Melted Joy”. The Chef described it as “We take a chunk of chocolate and put it on a plate heat da bottom wait then take it off da heat then let cool and a voila”

I didn’t think breaking a chocolate dome needs an instruction on the proper way to hold the spoon and the place I should hit. The second my date would try to explain to me how I should do it, he’s on the spoon hitting duty for the night — if he’s so good at this, I’ll be content eating when it’s open.

Proper stupid food. Desserts shouldn’t require you to crack them open like some shelled sea creature.

    Stop stop stop be respectful…

Listen here mf, I should not need to be this violent with my dessert, either do it for me (since you believe I’m not doing it right), or bring me a better dessert. Don’t chastise me, bro!

  22. BullfrogNo8216

What, y’all don’t eat adamantine chocolate?

  23. DillDoughzer

The kitchen at Spago in Maui brought my wife and I something similar to this on our wedding night. They poured a hot liquid over the chocolate.. myself my wife and the chef sat there in amazement… we continued to sit and wait. Nothing happened.. the chef seemed uneasy and nervous. I knew it was a failure to launch. I think it was supposed to melt and open like a flower or some shit. With one swift move I put the chocolate sphere out of its misery and smashed it into a million pieces with the back of my spoon. It literally exploded, everyone at my table lost it laughing. The chef seemed uneasy, looked relieved and scared at the same time. Honestly perfect metaphor for how the rest of my evening went. Good times!

Not sure if the food is stupid here or…

  25. Queasy_Employ1712

Baffled to read so many comments here critizicing the girl’s motor skills, instead of the chef for preparing stupid ass food that can’t be enjoyed, even though the sub is called stupid food.

Did not know SO many people were so unforgiving with motor skills?? Incredible. How will it be when you see someone on a wheel chair.

Maybe put down your phone and enjoy the diner
