Ingredients:
50g Rice
150ml water
1liter milk+ 100 ml to dissolve cornstarch
150g sugar
15g cornstarch ( about 2 tbsp)
pinch of salt
1 packet vanilla sugar
preferred nuts to decorate ( optional)
Preparations:
-Rinse the rice, add to a pot together with water and cook over medium heat until becomes soft.
-Pour in 1 liter of milk into the pot, bring it to a gentle boil, then let it simmer for about 15 minutes on lower heat while stirring occasionally to avoid burning the bottom.
-Add the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt, stir and let the sugar dissolve.
-In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with milk and slowly add it to the pudding mixture while stirring.let ci cook for 5 minutes more.
-Divide the pudding into oven-safe ramekins, place them in a baking tray and fill it with water for almost 1cm deep.
-Bake the tray in a preheated oven to 200°C, with the grill function on top middle rack, until the top is caramelised and brown.
_Remove the ramekins carefully from the tray and let them cool to the room temperature, then transfer them to refrigerator for few hours to chill before serving.
