Hi I’m in dire need of an explanation. Both bottles are chateau lynch bages, 1990. But the capsule is different on one of them and I don’t understand why. Can someone please explain? Neither were recorked at the chateau.

Green one is a Marianne (CRD) capsule — the bottle was likely originally sold in France. Wines that were directly exported don’t have them.

Strange. Maybe the second was imported into Italy

One has a negociant label, the other doesn’t. Likely sold in different markets at the time

I work in a wine shop and we have a case of the 2019 of this wine from our state distributor and some bottles have the green sticker and some don’t. I specifically know because it’s slightly annoying that they look like different bottles when store on the side with the top facing out. Don’t know the reason but shouldn’t be anything to worry about!

Yeah the green sticker is a legal requirement in France. The word “Recoltant” means it was entirely produced at the Chateau, from grape to bottle. Enjoy.
