Opened this beauty up tonight at Roots n water. Tasting notes:

Dark cherry and plum on the nose with some dried herbs and a touch of earth. On the palate it’s rich but not heavy, showing ripe red fruit, a bit of spice, and firm tannins that smooth out with air. Long, clean finish with good structure.

    Flaccianello is underrated. Great wine!

  2. Incredible wine. And what started me on a 25 year Italian wine journey…

Great wine, like pretty much everything from Fontodi.

My #1 favorite Italian wine, I buy at least a case per vintage and ‘15 is such a beast! It can sit for another 10-15 years.
