LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — In celebration of King Week Las Vegas, a Food Truck Festival Community Resource Fair was held Saturday at the Historic Westside School.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of cuisines from numerous food trucks and accessed valuable information at the resource fair.

Dione Gantt is the Chairwoman for Taste the Dream and was thrilled about the event.

“We brought it to the westside because we wanted to bring it to the soul and the heart of the community right here in the west side of Las Vegas.”

Zarinah Washington stated that this event was significant to the community.

She is the President of the Eta Chi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Washington says, “Today is all about honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King, his dream for economic justice, and providing access for our local business owners and community members to get resources in the communities.”
