It’s called Jangjorim. It’s braised beef and boiled eggs simmered in soy sauce, and honestly… I could eat like 10 bowls of rice with this🤣

Jangjorim is my absolute fave and makes an incredible, high protein breakfast. What cut does your mom use? Eye of round???

One of my favorite dishes too! I’m too lazy to peel quail eggs so I usually just go with chicken eggs lol

Crush that up with some fresh rice. Delicious!

My mom used to make this for me when I was a kid and I loved it so much. Well, I pretty much loved everything. Lol

My grandma would mix rice with a pat of salted butter and her homemade jangjorim (which she shredded) with some of the marinade together and it was my favorite childhood dish

Nice. Many other Asian countries eat this too. I know Vietnamese do. Philippines does but they added Spanish adobo sauce to it and then named the entire dish Adobo. It’s a very good dish but everyone else eats it as a regular weekday food while Philippines eat it as if it’s their iconic gourmet dish when it’s just a weekday meal for the rest of us.

Jangjorim is the BEST Korean dish IMO.

Sometimes I make these with just the eggs because boiling then shredding the beef can be a hassle sometimes.

My favorite too! But they can be pretty time consuming to make haha
