I have worked some crazy wine list, but this Bordeaux selection, mostly talking vintage, is pretty insane to me!

Presuming it’s been properly managed…. Wow!

How is Pontet Conet cheaper than Gran Puy LaCoste?!
Platypussy
1890 Beychevelle and 1880 Ducru-Beaucaillou 👀

I find the layout of the list quite difficult to read but still looks like fun to sell.

have to say, there’s a lot of kinda middling unexciting bordeaux on that list, as well as some top wines obviously. i think one could structure a much more interesting cellar

This menu is marked up very strangely! I am pretty sure whoever marked it up was not aware of the market prices. Some wines are barely 10% above retail price (some really good ones actually) and some are 300% to 400% above retail prices. It’s not consistent and someone who is expert at wine will take advantage of this. For example The mouton 2000 and 2001 are both priced 1700 euro each In reality 2001 is considered a mediocre wine with retail price of $450 and 2000 is extremely high demand at $1600 retail. How are they selling both at the same price?

I wonder if the 1890 Beychevelle or 1880 Ducru-Beaucaillou would still drink well…

Some nice stuff for sure, but man, not a single bottle under 100+€ isn’t nice even for a high end 3 stars Michelin

Those prices are wired!

Chateau Margaux ’82 at 650€? I’m coming immediately!
But please, fix the layout; it’s really difficult to read.
A good layout will increase sales by 50%.

Good pricing! But for the love of god please put the vintage, producer, and price all together, this is next to impossible to read, I can’t imagine sitting in a dark restaurant after a cocktail trying to figure out what you have.

Hey OP, where is the restaurant located (if you don’t feel safe to tell me the exact city, maybe the county/state?)
I have some colleagues that sell Bordeaux, would love for them to visit you.
I like the list, don’t like the layout of the menu. Some of the vintages I would not have if I was running the wine program, but most of your selection is top notch
