I’ve been wanting to try some of the best Spanish jamón available for years now, ever since seeing it on TV food shows like Anthony Bourdain in San Sebastian. And I finally pulled the trigger on some after doing a bunch of reading about Spanish jamón. So many different versions & classes. Found this Spanish Jamón Ibérico de Bellota (aged 48 months minimum) at a great price & picked it up. Aka Spanish Iberian acorn fed pork, dry cured ham from the leg.

The two different packages are each from a different part on the same pork leg, hence the color differences.

And I have to say de Bellota jamón was as good as everyone says. Nutty meaty flavors, smooth, complex and very oily along with variable soft textures. And calorie dense / filling. Highly recommended

Enjoy & have a nice Sunday.
