Perched along the Intracoastal Waterway at the Atlantic Boulevard Bridge, Miraggio Italian Grill is marking its first anniversary by doing exactly what it set out to do one year ago: delivering polished Italian cuisine in a setting that feels both elegant and unmistakably South Florida.

In just 12 months, the restaurant has earned a loyal following and a reputation as one of Pompano Beach’s most inviting waterfront dining destinations.

From the outset, Miraggio distinguished itself with a warm, contemporary dining room and a spacious, heated patio offering front-row views of passing boats and local wildlife. An outdoor bar completes the picture, making it just as appealing for a casual cocktail as it is for a celebratory evening out.

“We wanted to create a place that feels beautiful but approachable,” says chef and manager Jarrid Duvall. “Whether guests are joining us for brunch, happy hour, or a special event, the goal is always the same – to make them feel comfortable and well taken care of.”

The beef carpaccio is a customer favorite.

Accordingly, the menu reflects a deep respect for Italian classics while embracing subtle, modern touches. The cooking style favors balance and restraint, allowing quality ingredients and careful execution to take center stage.

Mouthwatering options begin with a range of satisfying salads and thoughtfully-prepared starters. The luscious beef carpaccio, thinly sliced and served over peppery arugula with olive oil and shaved Parmesan, sets the tone. Crispy fried calamari with house marinara and the restaurant’s richly flavored hand-rolled meatballs remain popular choices for sharing.

Pasta is a clear strength here. The pappardelle Bolognese with meat sauce ragù delivers comforting depth, while the clam-laden linguine alle vongole offers bright, briny notes. Lobster ravioli with cognac cream sauce provides a touch of indulgence, and the seafood linguini – generously filled with shrimp, clams, and fresh lobster – has quickly emerged as a signature dish.

Miraggio’s thin-crust, wood-fired pizzas deserve equal attention. The traditional Margherita highlights simplicity done right, while options such as Parma prosciutto or wild mushrooms with truffle oil and goat cheese appeal to diners looking for something a bit more assertive.

The meat-laden Bolognese pasta is always a good option.

Seafood and meat entrées round out the menu with confidence. Fresh branzino and grilled North Atlantic salmon reflect the restaurant’s coastal setting, while dishes like chicken Marsala and chicken piccata, fire-grilled boneless ribeye, lamb chops with lemon potatoes, and veal parmigiana provide hearty alternatives. On weekends, the prime rib special has become a standout, drawing regulars and newcomers alike.

Miraggio has also made a name for itself with a popular Sunday brunch, offering a relaxed way to enjoy the waterfront with comforting Italian-inspired fare. During the week, happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring reduced prices on wine, beer, and craft cocktails along with a dedicated bar menu – an ideal excuse to unwind as the sun dips over the Intracoastal.

Desserts provide a fitting finale, from classic tiramisu to bright limoncello cake and a delectable chocolate sundae, all best enjoyed with an espresso martini or a selection from the well-curated wine list featuring Italian and international labels.

Miraggio offers lunch and dinner service, with appetizers starting at $12 and entrées from $20. Open seven days a week, it is also well equipped to host large groups, making it a popular choice for private parties and corporate events of all sizes. Ample free parking and complimentary valet service make visiting easy.

Guests can enjoy breathtaking views at Miraggio’s waterfront patio.

One year in, Miraggio Italian Grill has firmly established itself as more than just a spectacular place to dine. With its scenic location, sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, and a menu that honors Italian culinary traditions, Miraggio has become a standout on Pompano Beach’s dining map – one that rewards repeat visits and invites diners to slow down, savor, and soak in the view. Enjoy!
