That is a sad turn of events. Something seemingly so easy to make worst case “good” is reach anymore. I feel your pain.

if they changed owner and name, they’re not your favorite burger place anymore. they’re literally a new and different restaurant.

Technically, that’s a burger. But if I’m being honest.. that looks really unappetising, dude.

Another one bites the dust. Maybe you’ll find something similar; why is it that change is almost never better for the consumer? ( I already know, ‘murica)

OP in a house previously owned by family: “They changed the interior, name, owner— my new family is kind of mehh.”
New tenants: “Dude- you can’t keep coming over and taking a shower and sleeping on our couch. We don’t know you.”
OP: “Fine! -I’m going to my favorite burger joint which I now hate due to being a bicycle shop, and I’m never coming back!!”

It’s discouraging how many restaurants think they can get away with selling mediocre burgers if they just put “smash” in the name.

I hate when that happens.

Ahhh man this happened to my hometown favourite shawarma place. It was the best I’d ever had for 15+ years, then they sold to new owners. They apparently tried to keep the same recipe but it was nowhere close to as good.
This place kept the same name though, so it messed alot of people up lol.
