The beloved family-run Italian restaurant has closed its doors to make way for a new concept
A beloved family-run restaurant on Duke Street, which has resided in the city for over two decades, has decided to close its doors.
Authentic Italian spot Il Forno has closed to make way for “exciting new plans” where the team will reopen the venue as Botanico; evolving the concept into an all-day eatery with a relaxed atmosphere, Italian-inspired cuisine and homely Sunday roasts.
The concept, which already proved popular since opening in Woolton Village in 2023, is expected to accommodate a wider variety of guests whilst still encompassing Il Forno’s legacy that customers have come to know and love.
