I love octopus more than most so I’d enjoy it but I wouldn’t really call this a dish. It’s just octopus and an unknown jelly or something?

    Tell us what it is.

It looks gorgeous but the true test of octopus is in the chewing.

Send me a tentacle and I’ll provide a detailed review!!! 😜

Looks nice but in the future I would be mindful of garnishing with woody herbs like thyme. Thyme leaves, sure but this particular variety of thyme has a very woody and fibrous stalk.

    Looks absolutely delicious! Bravo Chef.

People shouldn’t eat octopus, they’re incredibly smart. Just my opinion, a lot of other fish in the sea

Being a long time exec chef, the octopus looks ok but the raw thyme sprigs are inedible and inedible garnish is considered tacky and pointless

8/10. Strictly off my preference, I want some char or grill marks on my octopus.

That’s pulpo on a plate with some pepper jelly. 2/10

Chef here, octopus looks pretty good. If you’re referring to your plating as ‘fine dining skills’ random twigs of thyme gotta go lmao.

    Looks amazing 🤩
    Magazine quality.
    How did you prepare it?
I noticed that Costco is selling frozen octopus.

Recipe? 🥹 I love octopus but could never get mine right 😞

Looks amazing. I stopped eating octopus after reading “remarkably bright creatures”, but have deep appreciation for the dish. Used to be one of my favs and I’d have gobbled this down assuming the chew matches the looks.

Only criticism is the dried herb garnish. Un edible garnish is outdated.

Visually, it looks stunning. How did you prepare it?

Pretty, but you have ignored the person who has to negotiate this plate. It’s very small, and I can imagine a tentacle flying off into the air while the diner struggles to cut a bite sized piece.

    See you tomorrow, chef.

I’ve had it cooked in it’s own ink. Really great meal. I would try it again.

  17. chychy94

It’s just octopus and jelly. Plus the thyme sprigs have to go.

Looks appealing.. how will you eat it? Sliced is nice with fresh salad
