The milk foam on my automatic cappuccino came out looking like soft serve ice cream. It kept growing and was surprisingly jiggly. Anyone know what causes this?

Using an automatic cappuccino machine, usually.

(Yes I know this is an expensive, fancy one but my statement stands, try r/superautomatic)

    Try posting this in r/superautomatic
Not many here with fully auto machines. Sure someone will point you in the right direction.

There was heated excitement in that silky milky.

Ok, besides that shot gushing out way too fast, how tf does that foam behave like that???

They installed the same machines at my company’s office space. I’ll go complain ours don’t have this soft serve function

Low on milk perhaps? Just a random guess though

This is the same milk system or design they have in the thermoplan black and white and Nespresso Aguila. It makes it almost like whipped cream and can do it cold or hot. Very nice.

Its got into those trendy Japanese caffe tiktoks and is changing it up and trying to make foam mascots.

That’s why semi auto machines are best. You control the flow.

Assuming it’s not sour, I’d drink it. Sounds good
