Barilla is selling a limited edition heart line in honor of Valentine’s Day

I’ve had this pasta twice so far, both times without sauce, and have to say it’s far better than a childish, gimmicky shape

While it wouldn’t be the best for casseroles/baked ziti type dishes, it seems to hold cheese, oil, veggies, and sauce fairly well

I just made run of the mill boring dishes but saw some interesting recipes online, including:

*Meatball Bolognese

*Chicken Alfredo

*Mac and Cheese

*Pink beet tinted

*Sweet and Spicy

*Blush cream sauce

*Lemon Chicken

*Tomato Lover

All with the heart shaped pasta

Overall, I think this shape has a lot of potential and is fun to look at too

But, I wanted to hear your thoughts

If you’ve had another heart shaped pasta, like Trader Joe’s, World Market, Reggano, or others… feel free to share your thoughts on those too 🙂

Yayyyyy I bought like 12 boxes of these last year to gift for Valentine’s Day. Kids love them

Pasta alla Gricia, bolognese or some other ragu, amatriciana. A chunky sauce to fill those holes.

I remember my mom bought us kids heart shaped pasta for me (I was the oldest of 5, 10 years old and loved cooking) to make with a simple red sauce while her and my dad had a valentines date in the other room.

This was back in the year 2000 so my mom definitely went out of her way to make the evening special for us while her and my dad could still have a night together too.

I would definitely buy this out of nostalgia and think I’d make a vodka cream sauce or something similarly hearty with Italian sausage or steak.

The snowflakes fell apart the second I sauced them :/

Only 340 grams, thought they are usually 500 gram packs?

Yay for heart, nay for Barilla. It’s low quality, questionable CEO / management among other thinga. There are so many better pasta brands to support!

I just bought a couple boxes. It’s cute. It’s gimmicky, but it’s still pasta.

How did you have it before twice when you had it without sauce? You said run of the mill recipes, but you never specified how you’ve used it.

If it has the word PASTA on the label, I’ll eat it.

February is near so a yay for me. Every other month, is still a yay because it looks fun

It’s Cute! Why would it be yay or nay. It will go down the same way all other Pasta shapes will go down.

Barilla’s CEO is a homophobic twat. DeCecco gets my love.

It’s not the shape it’s the brand. Barilla brand pasta is s*** pasta produced by hateful people.

They had snowflakes at the start of winter. I really liked them. Held a lot of Alfredo. They were very cute.

I love fun shaped pasta! It’s a go-to present from my mum when she comes to visit. Lidl and TKMaxx are excellent for it. They have heart pasta for valentine’s, Christmas shapes, Halloween shapes. I’ve had dinosaur pasta, teddy bear pasta, even penis pasta lol

The world needs more heart shaped pasta and dinners made with love❤️
