A fleeting thought indeed.

Staring at the fire suppression system handle contemplating if I pull this… can I go home.

You can, you just can’t come back.

You only think about it until you’re the one to clean it…. It literally goes everywhere…. If you’ve ever pulled the trigger on a class K fire extinguisher, think of that but coating your entire cook line in seconds.

Holding a bucket of ice to fill the unpowered refrigerated basin that lives across the street from the new fryer.

I too have felt the urge. But the 5000$ clean up/recharge would likely cost me my job. So I go smoke a cig instead

One of my Argentinian coworkers asked what the handle was for and I told her it’s the button that sends all the sexy, jacked firefighters to come rescue us.

Fun fact: if you mix bleach and ammonia together you can have the rest of the day off

Worked at Portillo’s & we had a lite grease fire that wouldn’t go out. We used salt & knew not to use water so we tried to deprive it of oxygen so smothered it. That didn’t work either so we used the extinguisher. Guess who couldn’t go home & had to clean it up?

Honestly I think the building can be literally on fire and my boss would be like, “Just stand in front of the fan and drink lots of water.”
