I feel like everyone has at least one Korean dish they can eat over and over again without getting bored.

For me, this is hands down my favorite.
No matter how many times I have it, it never disappoints, and it’s always the first thing I crave when I’m thinking about Korean food🤭👏

For me, up until now, it’s kimchi. I can have some at least once and up to three times a day with every meal and I don’t get tired

Kimchi jjigae, we eat it multiple times weekly.

Kimchi jjigae, hands down. I add whatever I want or have on hand and I swear it keeps my immune system super healthy.

Since I’ve become more and more familiar with it, I just really like jeyuk bokkeum, more than anything. Idk if it’s just the place 3 minutes from my house, but I will eat it 5 times a week if I’m not careful. It doesn’t help that I work remotely doing a lot of cold calling and need to step out for lunch sometimes, or on days where I’m teaching at the 2 year music programs nearby, I may not feel like cooking by the time I get back.

I am Korean. for me, Ttukbokki. People tole me that ttukbokki is children’s food you will eat less when you grow up. But now I am old and still craving ttukbokki. Even going to travel some place abroad where food is yammy, i started thinking ttukbokki. Once my brother who also likes foreign food told me that he gets to crave ttukbokki when he went abroad. That was the moment that i can see that he is my sibling.

My wasian kids ask for kimchi jjigae as soon as they come back home from college breaks. They inhale a whole pot of it in an instant.

Hot chicken stew 닭도리탕. Had several versions, still prefer mom’s recipe though 😁

    Bibimbap. It’s delicious comfort food.

A restaurant in my city offers creamy tteok-bokki with egg, broccoli and cheese and I’m obsessed with it.

Soondubu! tteokbokki will always be a great snack for me but something about that soup that I’ll never get tired of

Kimchi jjigae, I make mine with a bit of pork belly and sometimes crimini mushrooms, sundubu if I have it, otherwise medium tofu, and enoki. (and other stuff of course, green onions, garlic, fine gochugaru, various condiments to amp up the flavor)
But I only make it once the kimchi I have ages a long time, it has to be at least several months old, preferably at least 4-6, and up to a few years if I keep any in the back of the fridge for this purpose, it doesn’t usually last that long.

Kimchi stew used to be the top go-to for me as well. But I’ve come to appreciate 된장찌개 as the most sublime out of all Korean dishes.

Mandu guk. I would eat a bowl for breakfast a couple of times a week when I lived in Busan.
