Grilled Tri-tip and lamb chops on charcoal grill first timer, how’d I do ?

So I bought this Tri-tip and lamp chops from Costco yesterday to grill while I had the nfl playoff games on. Used mesquite charcoal and put them directly on the flame to get a good sear on both sides. Then moved it away from the fire for about 20 minutes on each side. This is the result. Also worth mentioning I have no thermometer so just winged it. Wish I got better pics but was over anxious to try it out and took pics once we almost killed it 😂
