I was going for medium rare. Obviously that didn’t happen. It’s not awful though

  2. Great_Guidance_8448

Ooof… Overcooked AND no sear. Ouch.

  3. jontseng

lol that’s clearly 12-hour pulled pork. You aren’t fooling us that easily! :-p

  4. Yeah buddy, that thing is…Rough. no sear, looks *tough* I don’t even wanna touch whats up with the garlic. Did you season it? I dont want to condone steak sauce but I hope you drowned it in sauce.

But we all do things for the first time and we get better as we go. Save this for a year from now when you make a banger.

Lemme be honest…. what the heck is this?

  6. testurshit

Speaking of torn to shreds, it looks like a chew toy that a dog tore to shreds.

  7. grumpvet87

watch some Guga videos on how to get a good sear. It will make your steak taste (and look) better

  8. Melodic_Mud879

Both overcooked and undercooked at the same time

  9. Carbon_Based_Copy

    Mmm milk steak.

Jk, you needed higher heat on that bad boy.

Not gonna lie, I’ve actually seen many worse steaks. Definitely terrible but hardly abhorrent.

Stick around this sub – will be brutal at times but u will learn a lot.

You’ve done very badly here. But ots your 1st time you can only get better. Look online for a few more tips next time. 😁

  13. Big_P4U

There’s a little pink to more pink I see…so it’s not completely ruined.

  14. Golden_Locket5932

Pretty bad considering the standard this sub sets, but actually not TERRIBLE considering it’s your first time. Just needs more seasoning, less time on the heat, and HIGHER heat.

Hopefully you’re as tough as that steak is, to take the criticism you’re gonna get

Man we all start somewhere. Good effort.

How did you cook it? Was it really wet when you put it in the pan?

  17. Flynn_JM

At least it looks like a cheap cut of meat. Is that minute steak?

    1. Salt and pepper.
    2. Wrap in foil.
    3. Place foil in ziplock bag.
    4. Add to dishwasher. Be sure to set for heated dry.
    5. Remove at the end of the cycle and allow to rest for 45 minutes.
    6. Enjoy!

Did you save the boiled water to make gravy?

  20. Mindless_Highlight_2

Hey at least it’s edible, gotta give OP *some* credit

  21. DrasticBread

Next time make sure the entire steak is fully submerged looks like one side was sticking out the water you boiled it in

  22. Mr_Ch3f

My sweet summer child you need to educate yourself

  23. Cmendio

The good news is that it can only go up from here

  24. Someguy-83

How did you over cook and undercook the same steak?

  25. MilkChocolate21

Hopefully next time will be better.

  26. xosoftglimmer

Let us know when you’re done chewing

  27. Culinary-Vibes

I’ve had better looking steaks at Norms sadly.

And this is at 2AM with the cook high as a kite.
