This is my Carolina Reaper. I’m growing it indoors right now because it’s getting below freezing outside, and it seems to be growing pretty well, but I can’t help but wonder if it would do better if I cut that second stem. Is that a smart idea or a terrible one?

Are you “growing” it with lights, etc? Or are you trying to over-winter it and encourage it into dormancy until it can be moved back outside in spring?
No. It doesn’t look dead, with just a portion that has died back.
