Got a supposed “Yellow Scotch Bonnet” off eBay but it doesnt look right
Im assuming the pepper turning yellow means its ripe? I might harvest the seeds.

if the plant gets bigger you might see different shaped pods, Id put him in a bigger pot and give him a bamboo stick or something to lean on homie is looking really sad.

Remove the fruit, fertilize and let it dry out. That thing grew for months with nothing but inert substrate and it’s HUNGRY.

It’s got a BBG7 calyx

Looks like a hab to me, I would pluck that fruit off and replant with some good soil, Maby a bit of liquid fertilizer, and this plant would bounce back like crazy

Top it and pick the flowers for the next month. Then it will take off

You paid for that? Get your money back. Those leaves are so pale. It needs fertilizer

It’s a most sad pepper plant i’ve ever seen…

Thanks guys for your feedback. I took the pepper off and put it in a bigger pot with FF Ocean Forest. Maybe ill add some nitrogen-rich fertilizer too.

Everyone’s going to say it’s a habanero but it’s not. That shape could easily be a bonnet, but it’s not a bonnet either.
It’s most likely a variation on a Jamaican mushroom/squash pepper, sometimes just called “Jamaican Hot Yellow”. The calyx tells the tell.
It’s easily the most mislabeled-as-a-bonnet variety ever as they’re usually saucer shaped, but I’ve seen them throwing this shape plenty of times.
Oh yeah and please feed that puppy!!!
BOGDOGMAX
The calyx does not appear to have the prominent annular constriction typical of C.chinense (scotch bonnets, habaneros and others) based on the pictures. I cant get a good close look at it but I doubt it is a scotch bonnet.
