Ramen will always be a staple, thanks to its affordable cost, easy preparation, and delicious array of options. The iconic dish has gotten me through college study sessions and lazy evenings in my first apartment when I needed a dinner that was cozy and quick.
Brand loyalty is important to some when it comes to ramen. Maruchan happens to be one of our favorites, winning the title of Best Budget Option in our ramen taste test. But this new release immediately caught our attention for a completely different reason, and things are about to get spicy.
Maruchan Introduces Saucy Noods Stir-Fry Style Noodles
We’re all familiar with the traditional ramen, which typically features noodles served in a savory broth and can be customized with seasonings, vegetables, and protein to your liking. But the new addition to the Maruchan lineup takes things in a new direction by getting saucy instead of soupy.
The new Saucy Noods Stir-Fry Style Noodles swaps broth for a rich, flavorful sauce, giving the dish a texture more like stir-fried noodles. The launch includes two delicious flavors: Spicy Creamy Chicken and Spicy Chicken.

The Spicy Creamy Chicken features stir-fried noodles drenched in a luscious cheesy cream sauce. The dish has a nice kick of heat, making it warming and rich in flavor. Meanwhile, the Spicy Chicken is heavy on the spices, with a fiery blend of chili and habanero peppers for intense flavor in every bite.
In an Instagram post teasing the new find, commenters were thrilled to hear about the upcoming launch.
“I can’t wait to try these. I just know they’ll be delicious!” wrote one excited fan. “I need this expeditiously,” added another.
Fans also took to Reddit to share their thoughts, including a few lucky shoppers who found the products early. “They’re at my local WinCo, and they’re good! Not super spicy but still yummy,” noted a fan.
And one purchaser compared them to another popular brand, Buldak, “I just tried them for dinner earlier, I will say they are good and taste a lot like Buldak noodles. The seasonings come all in one packet, though, so you can’t really control how spicy it is unless you want less flavor. The spice level to me was okay, though not super spicy, but I could still feel the heat. I’ll definitely buy it again.”
If you didn’t catch that little innuendo in the name (“saucy noods”), these noodles are specifically being marketed for Valentine’s Day. Maruchan is offering free shipping for fans who send Saucy Noods (the noodles) to their Valentines via the TikTok shop. And Bumble users can also swipe right to receive “flirty encouragement” and noodles in their DMs.
Both flavors of the Saucy Noods Stir-Fry Style Noodles are now available on Amazon, TikTok Shop, and through select retailers, including WinCo, Grocery Outlet, and DoorDash. The line will ultimately see a nationwide release in more retail locations later this year.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the official drop, or order your favorite flavor online to get in the mood for Valentine’s Day.
