Sitting at Longhorn stakehouse in Detroit Airport.
Asked for Medium rare on the sirloin. Got this and was told its medium. I said medium well. Who's right?

Looks pretty yummy to me

looks medium rare in places closer to medium elsewhere. definitely better than average airport steak.
w63n6
Looks medium, but it also looks pretty good.
Mr_MacGrubber
Places like that I usually go one level rarer than I want because they almost always overcook them.
carcarbuhlarbar
Did they even cook that broccoli?
Hot-Temporary-6946
Actually looks really tasty. But not medium rare. I think it’s a solid medium well. You are right. If they can do it right that would be MIGHTY tasty!
PenguinStarfire
Proper medium well. Medium at most restaurants though.
Bettajune
Looks might nice to me!!!!!
Creepy-Selection2423
Sorry you found yourself having to be at DTW. But that’s steak actually looks pretty good!
_Go_With_Gusto_
it’s tough to call that one because it’s MW all around the edges but medium in the middle. Really poorly cooked steak if you ask me but it’s Longhorn and it’s in an Airport.
usernamesarehard1979
That is chain restaurant medium buddy. Not much you can do in an airport.
anon18274729
Looks over for sure but also that shit filter makes it hard to tell as everything looks grainy
growling_owl
I’d be annoyed if I personally paid for this steak but if it was on a business expense account, I’d be more than fine with this.
catchmesleeping
The mashed alone would be a deal breaker. Looks like after you eat.
Kilmo21
I’d say between medium and medium well. But that doesn’t matter if you asked for it medium rare… it’s over cooked either way.
Ok_Falcon275
It’s an airport. If you don’t get the flu, it’s a win.
northenerbhad
Looks like they get frozen and don’t thaw them through properly. The meat looks grainy
Own_Marionberry_8510
That’s medium Not medium rare
outtaknowhere
nice sear. probably great with ketchup and beer
FaithlessnessCute204
That’s a medium steak that you ate most of, if your gonna claim bad temp on steaks you don’t get to eat 3/4 of it and complain
SupaDupaTron
Looks medium to me. I usually order medium rare myself, and if this showed up I would probably be fine with it.
hale444
I’d call it medium
saltedstuff
I’d say medium well and the “chef” gave little care to your meal. The large brown band at the top and none at the bottom means that top side was left on the heat too long.
Nothing4mer
This definitely LOOKS medium well.
ArcherBarcher31
Medium, and considering where you are, I’d be happy with that.
soursauce85
Over easy medium well steak
ConsiderationSea7589
You’re in an airport.

you’re at a “stakehouse” where the rules don’t matter and everyone loses
fuzzy-lint
Definitely looks like medium to me. Also, is that broccoli raw???
Joshuajword
It’s heading to medium well, for sure
KinKeener
I bet the probe read 140 when they pulled it from the grill, and it sat in the window for 10 minutes.

I support OP. If you pay for a steak to be cooked a certain way….it should be devine
Dawgman357
Can’t argue that it’s over done and closer to medium well than medium. Not sure the airport is where I would go to a “steakhouse”. You probably knew before you sat down it wasn’t going to measure up
gwhh
How was the overall meal?
pikkdogs
Looks good. But it is medium well.
rededelk
So what did you ask for? You typed 2 different things and why is there a bottle of 57 in the background. Not dissing you, airport food is generally thumbs down so I travel with other stuff to get me through security and the flight. I hopped a flight out Hawaii once with a stop in Honolulu and had a couple of pastrami sandwiches (yah from an indy on Hilo Bay 5*) it perforated the cabin with smell goodness. I ate, slept in my seat and woke up in Seattle 6 hours later .I’d prefer not eat airport food for many reasons but sometimes it happens
Pizza-sauceage
Your Mom called and said eat your broccoli!

Longhorn at the airport
SevereAd9463
In that scenario I would ask for rare and assume they will over cook it.
EstablishmentNo9866
You are. Either way it’s definitely not medium rare.
Ryte4flyte1
You done fucked up, should have got a anything else…
whatitmountaindew
Everyone’s already noted it’s an airport but that also means he paid way too much so I feel his pain lol that being said that is 100% medium, too much pink for medium well.
LovesToblerone
Looks delicious, definitely not medium well.
RamaShakle
To me it looks..mostly eaten.
golfreak923
North side of medium
GamerCaveman1
I wouldn’t complain unless it’s too hard to eat and not seasoned well.
