lol that is a good one. My favorite was hot dog sushi at a 7-11 in Taiwan.

Platano is plantain, banana is banana, no?
Redbacontruck
That’ll be $20 smh lol

Isn’t like uncooked plantaine bad for you?
VidimusWolf

Ichthyoramus
It’s one banana sushi, Michael. What can it cost? 12 Euros?

You say this like sushi rolls aren’t normally filled with plain raw fish
Strange-Credit2038
That sounds like it could be delicious tbh (without wasabi)
morkler
Texturally I bet it was good.
gartenzweagxl
depends on the price for me
We get them here in my city aswell and they are surprisingly tasty and mix well with wasabi and a bit of soy sauce.
We also have them filled with Mango, really good aswell

I was craving sushi, so I ordered some using UberEATS, it was something with tuna. I never ever expected to get rolls filled with canned tuna, what a disgusting experience, I hate wasting food but I just couldn’t eat it.

Bananas in sushi should really not exist

How much?

My family went to an All-you-can-eat sushi spot not too long ago. We tried everything. Stuff with salmon and mango, and another one with pineapple. Bc we wanted to try everything.
They were OK. But yeah this is something we would get at an AYCE just to try.

I’ll take the whole roll if you don’t want it

So… what’s the stupid part?
OrigamiTongue
How is this stupid?

I would German suplex the person who invited me to this bullshit

I’ve had plantain sushi in the Dominican Republic it wasn’t that bad tbh
Kratomius
This is just dessert sushi. Only thing i’m weirded about is the wasabi in it.

An uncooked plantain would be fucking disgusting and worse. This is silly but fine.
Welder_Subject
I would totally eat that
NickNacpattyWacc
A deep fried plantain version would slap though
MistyMai0
if it has enough black pepper on it…why not ( black pepper kills sweetness and allows fruits with meat combos )
beyondthef
why does it come with a bible verse
Intelligent-Oil-7168
I have fcked with sushi with raw fruit but not like this. Interesting choice.
NixMaritimus
I hope that’s not actually raw plantain, cause that’s like eating a raw potato

Maki rolls with plain cucumber or plain carrot are common at sushi places, so a Maki roll with banana isn’t too weird, as long as it was in the same price range as a cucumber roll, seems fine….

Not a banana, a platano, it works well with savory dishes. To me it is stupid food, but it may be alluring to someone. I can see this as part of vegan menu.

It’s not uncookes I think? Spanish speaking countries love cooked/baked bananas
nehinah
My local place has something similar this, but its a banana tempura roll. It’s really good. Just a fried banana rolled in nori and rice.

Honestly, I’ve been to Asian fusion restaurants where they top a sushi roll with thin pieces of fried plantains. Literally divine. I would definitely give this one a try if the price point is reasonable.

just to say: I’m a spaniard and that’s NOT from a fancy place… that’s an ‘All You Can Eat’ dish, so please don’t think we hate asian food, because that’s actually some asian restaurant owner idea, not that we like it
