This Dorito Taco Salad is a throwback dinner that never misses. Seasoned ground beef, crisp iceberg lettuce, juicy tomatoes, creamy avocado, sharp cheddar, and crushed Taco Doritos all tossed in a bold Catalina–taco sauce dressing. It’s crunchy, savory, a little messy, and absolutely addictive β€” perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or when taco night needs a fast twist. Serve immediately for maximum crunch.

  1. That looks absolutely scrumptious, Paul! I just use a little water in my eggs. The water steams and makes them fluffy and good. Hey, Mr. Hobbs! ❀

    Hello, Mr. Hobbs!!

    Disagree!

  5. Hi Paul salad looks yummy…I think I liked the way it was before the dressing just top with salsa, sour cream & shredded cheese . I am watching from Alberta Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ πŸ™Œ and I bake a tortilla wrap in a taco baker and basically build it by layering it with all the good stuff and you can eat the bowl πŸ˜‹ disagree I prefer milk over water in scrambled eggs .

  6. Agree. Milk in scrambled eggs or an omelette is wrong according to most rules of cooking, it actually needs a little water to loosen up the eggs. For G'Bad News (News that is equally Good, and Bad,) I figured out how to make quick Nachos in the Microwave a couple of years ago. Take whatever Corn Chips you like, and put a couple layers in a microwave safe dish. Put some shredded cheese on it, and bacon bits if you want (and who wouldn't?) In a separate bowl, put a can of your favorite chili. Cook that in the microwave according to the package, then put it aside (I usually add a bit of hot sauce to mine.) Then put the chips & cheese in the Microwave for about one to one and a half minutes, depending on how big a serving you're making. I usually am only making around half a bag of chips, and maybe a third of the can of chili. Now, we put everything together. Put some salsa on the chips, then dollop some chili on it, and top with sour cream (or in my case, greek yogurt.) "Homemade" Nachos in five minutes.

  7. Milk or water doesn't make a lot of difference in the eggs. I missed the kidney beans 🫘 in the taco salad. I probably would have added some chopped onions. Enjoy your salad Paul πŸ₯—. πŸ˜‹

  8. I am from Mesa AZ I love milk with scrambled eggs and I also love hot salsa with my taco salad looks great πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

  10. I am watching from Waynesboro Pennsylvania. The only thing I might add to your terrific looking Taco Salad is some sour cream especially if I was feeling fancy.

  11. Looks & sounds good. I used to make this all the time. Milk does make scrambled eggs better!πŸ˜‹
