Enjoyed this last night over dinner, pretty unique experience. Structure / punchiness of this wine were all greatly softened, wine is surely on the downslope – but man, just delicious, and well balanced, and a true pleasure to drink a wine almost as old as I am. Lots of red cherry and cedar tastes, some earthiness. Decanted solely to manage sediment, this was ready to go quickly.
