  1. Honest question from someone who has eaten salads like this since my '80s childhood:
    If this is a "new" way of making a salad, what is the regular way (and why is it messy)?

  3. When I was a kid, you would usually get it at your local Italian(-American) deli, and it typically had some kind of ham or salami cubed too (or sliced on top.) Then the dressing was that classic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning combo. Pepperoccini too. I love it when the chop is even smaller
