No 2026 Crunchyroll anime has the same hype behind it as Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. MAAPA’s hit supernatural shonen series has been off to a great start and is bringing legions of fans back to the world’s most famous anime streamer. This is why it’s so surprising that another anime has it beat in Crunchyroll’s official rankings.
According to Crunchyroll’s current ranking of its most popular anime, Jujutsu Kaisen is ranked #6, with the triumvirate of Gachiakuta, My Hero Academia, and One Piece still dominating the top 3 despite none of them airing new episodes at the moment.
Beyond the top three, another series is undeniably worth mentioning. At #5 is another MAPPA anime, and it’s an isekai classic.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Mukohda and Fenrir
Based on the light novel by Ren Eguchi, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is a relatively recent MAPPA anime that’s attracted a great deal of attention for ranking among the best isekai anime available on streaming.
The series follows a Japanese salaryman named Tsuyoshi Mukouda who is transported to a world of fantasy.
Fortunately for Mukouda, he is not completely helpless in this new, dangerous world. Mukouda finds that he’s been gifted with the ability Online Supermarket, essentially allowing him to buy groceries from modern Japan.
Mukouda uses this ability to finally pursue his passion for cooking, allowing him to befriend beasts who are impressed with the hero’s culinary abilities.
How Campfire Cooking Earned Such a High Place in Crunchyroll’s Popularity Rankings
Campfire Cooking’s anime adaptation began in 2023 and recently wrapped up its second season in December of 2025, meaning many fans are only just catching up with the series.
Far from the high-stakes action seen in many other anime like Jujutsu Kaisen, Campfire Cooking earned a cult following for its relaxing nature. There is a positivity and calmness to the series that makes it a light watch, making Campfire Cooking the perfect anime comfort food.
MAPPA’s work on the series is also admirable, and while it doesn’t reach the same explosive heights as Jujutsu Kaisen, it’s not aiming that high. Campfire Cooking is the definition of a chill series.
Unfortunately, it’s probably only a matter of time before Campfire Cooking in Another World With My Absurd Skill is overtaken by Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 in Crunchyroll’s popularity rankings. Still, it’s a great series worth checking out, and might be a good series to relax with after the high stress of a big action series.
