I live in an area that is almost laughably unprepared for winter weather. Half the population is freaking out, and the other? They're ignoring icy roads to put me and my team at risk! Super cool.
Take your best guess and I'll award the closest with a "yes chef"

In- 3:40
Out- 4:30 (after FOH told them to GTFO)
Just tell the story, don’t be all coy about it. I’m glad you got home safe.

In at 3:50 out 6:00. Fuck those people
It’s up to the front if the house staff to alert incoming guests of if they can still be sat, and how long they can stay until before the staff has to leave, in a situation like this. Also, it’s fair to say on the sign that the kitchen will be closed at 3:30, if that helps. Sometimes it’s much more polite to be completely upfront in the beginning, rather than have to later try to enforce something that is just expected to be read by everyone.
3:57 & 5:30? 🤨
If your managers let them stay after 4pm that’s on management
Why can’t y’all just refuse service? Shitty ownership? Bad manager?
3:50 with that dumbass look on their face, kitchen’s still open, right?
Last guest entered at 4:05pm and left at 6:45pm
Our restauraunt closed at 11 last night, and a table of four walked in at 10:45. It was -12° F
In..3:55.
4:05: We have more joining.
Time I comment here.. 6:56 pm
They have nowhere to go, or nobody to see so let’s estimate they left at 7:00 EST. Way over posted closing time. Ice/ snow be damned I guess.
Ha!! 2:15 and they are still there.
In at 3:53 and out at 5:21
#Penis.
You’re still there!!!
Update: we have a winner on the out time! 4:39 on the nose. Also, me and everyone on the team made it home just fine. Real danger weather won’t start for about an hour.
They walked in at exactly 3:57 and they stayed until 5
Why are you posting this? YOU are the manager. If someone came in at 3:58, you, the MANAGER could have told them the kitchen is closed. As the manager, I mean you, you could also have told them, “we will serve you, but sure to weather you will need to leave by 4:30pm.” You, the manager, chose to do none of these things, instead you choose to come to reddit in order to bitch about things you could gave easily prevented. I don’t understand what you were thinking or why you are upset since this was all self-inflected.
In: 3:58pm
Out: 3:59pm when management refused them service because they’re good at their job.
In at 3:58, out at 4:01, because they were politely refused service.
“I apologize for the confusion, but the sign refers to when our **restaurant seating area** closes. We keep the floor open after kitchen shutdown to allow guests who have already ordered some time to finish their meals. Our kitchen closed significantly earlier to allow our staff time to finish their cleaning duties and still get home safely.”
“They’re ignoring icy roads to put me and my team at risk!”
no, no they arent, your management/owner is.
Tbf a sign saying last orders at 15:15 because you close at 16:00 would have prevented this from happening
Noon and is still in there
The last guest to walk in did so at 3:59:59pm. The second question is a trick question, they never left, you’re all snowed in at an Olive Garden. I guess when you are there, you’re family…
Last guest walked in at 3:58, last guest left at 6pm
That’s why I hate signs like this.
It should say something like, “We will not accept any new customers after 3pm.” Less confusion.
No idea when they walked in but I assure you they’d be walking out at 3:59 if that was my spot.
4:20
I just don’t understand people like that. When I see that a business, ANY business closes at X time, I assume I as a customer need to be done and out of the building by that time. Not ‘oh, I got here at 2 minutes to close, I can stay as long as I want!’
Walked in: 3:54pm.
Left: not yet.
415 pm is the last walkin. They leave at 530.
4:00 on the dot but they stayed till 8pm.
