Hand rolled penne for the first time…for a group of 16
My fiancés friend asked me to cook for her bday party. OF COURSE I had to hand roll penne for a homemade penne alla vodka 😅

Also did you know hand rolled penne is actually garganelli? Penne is only an extruded shape. I made that mistake too. I thought I was selling penne at the farmers market until I was slightly scolded by a nonna that barely spoke English. Oops! 😂

Honestly nobody deserves this level of care and time you put into it. Can’t imagine the amount of time it took for 16!!!!
I love cooking for others but would’ve drawn the line there and stuck with a simpler pasta shape.
