Opened & decanted for 24hrs…stunning depth for its age, with dark berry, fig, and cocoa notes that open up beautifully after a long decant. The texture is velvety and the finish goes on forever, all warm spice and dried fruit. A vintage that proves exactly why ’77 is still talked about.

What a perfect occasion to uncork a maturing vintage port! These wines are amongst my favorite styles; I wish more people were into them. Here in NYC, not too many wine drinkers seem to be into them or even respect vintage port.

Hopefully you didn’t chill otherwise than for the picture?

Nice! I recently tasted 77 Warre’s, Taylor-Fladgate & Smith Woodhouse. They were all excellent!
