Hello, all! Beginner gardener here looking for advice. I planted some roma tomatoes from seed in my garden. Pictured is my recent harvest. While i am thankful for my modest haul, I notice none of the fruits ever got to the same size as their progenitor.

I gave the plants 14-14-14 NPK in the beginning. When it started to flower I watered it with diluted banana peel tea every week. I never pruned the suckers though, and just let them take over the fence they grew near. They recieve plenty of sunlight as I live in the tropics.

Is there anything I can do to improve my next harvest?

Oh, and I noticed some fruits had these insect bites, anything I can do about that?

Whoever told you banana peel tea is any good you should totally ignore! Since you get plenty of sun and are fertilizing I’m thinking your soil might be an issue. Not sure about the bugs. Are there experienced growers that you can reach out to for best practices?

    Fruit size = potassium

Organic potassium = sulfate of potash, or high potassium seaweed fertilizer
