A record number of Unit 12 residents stepped out on Friday, March 22 for our annual Progressive Dinner. Of course, everyone loves Italian food, this year’s theme! We combined the appetizers and dinner on the patio of Jeanne OMeara under gorgeous skies and mild weather. That’s tricky in March. Everyone pitched in with beautiful platters of Italian appetizers—Charcuterie by Gerry and Linda Schwitzer, newcomers Rick and Lili Dickson added a beautiful veggie platter, Laura Ingold repeated her much requested bacon-wrapped dates and much more by many more.
The dinner featured homemade lasagna by Judith Ambrosini and Vince Nobles and Chicken Alfredo by Bob and Susan Lucci. It is a good party when everyone can have as much as they want and there is little or nothing left over.

The dinner progressed across the street to Desserts at Tom and Laurel Sensabaugh’s home overlooking the Catalina Course to the South framed by the mountains. An assortment of delicious desserts prepared by party participants—Almond Cake by new neighbors, Tracey and Dave Simkowiak, Chocolate Gluten Free cake by Melanie Chase and Dan Studiner, and beautiful meringue fruit tarts by Velma and Gary Tindall, among other delicious desserts.
More great socializing and getting to know new neighbors continued late into the night (for SaddleBrooke). Last seen was a gaggle of guys solving world problems on the patio under the star-filled skies.
