This supposedly has “hints” of honey, but to me the honey is so strong it’s almost a sweet wine and it’s absolutely killing me. Currently opting for a Rombauer but this wasn’t cheap and it’s killing me. Wondering if this is typical or if I somehow got a bottle where something went wrong along the way if that makes sense? 😅🙏🏼

Oh man, both Cakebread, and Rombauer have residual sugar. Chemicals, food coloring, and are made with syrup for fermentation. Neither of which you’re hard earned money should go to… try to find small producers from your lws

This is why I don’t drink US wines. Drink old world wine countries. Cheaper than Cakebread and natural wines from Sicily for example are delicious

  3. 2022 was a hot vintage in Napa. We had a heat dome the first weekend of September that caused a huge jump in brix and also overripe aromas and flavors. It’s likely that the honey character you’re getting is just a byproduct of the vintage!
