According to an enforcement report from a November 2025 recall alert, several cheese products sold at stores like H-E-B and Sam’s Club in Texas are under recall from the The Ambriola Company, which touts itself as “one of the largest importers and distributors of specialty Italian cheese and prosciutto di Parma from Italy,” according to its site.

The cheese products, sold under the brands Ambriola, Locatelli, Member’s Mark, Pinna and Boar’s Head, were distributed across 20 states, including Texas. The FDA posted the company’s recall alert to its site in November.

“The Ambriola Company is recalling select cheese products after routine testing confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems,” the recall stated.

“The affected products were distributed to retail stores and distributors nationwide between November 3, 2025 and November 20, 2025,” company representatives added. Here’s what to keep an eye out for in your kitchen, and on grocery store shelves.

Additional cheese products sold by the pound include the following.

No illnesses were reported at the time, according to the November recall alert. Ambriola representatives said that customer who have purchased the affected products “should not consume them and either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.”

“We take food safety very seriously and immediately alerted stores and distributors to remove the affected products from shelves,” Phil Marfuggi, Ambriola’s chief executive officer, said in the recall announcement.

“We are working closely with the FDA and continuing to test our products and facilities to fully understand the situation.”
