I planted these Choc Habanero (left 2 rows) and Lemon Habanero (right two rows) exactly 7 days ago. I went to check the water level (after having left them alone for a day or two) and to my surprise, they’ve sprouted!

I’m not sure my next steps? I’ve moved them to a sunny window location, and I have a grow light I can use overnight as well, but not sure if I need to wait for the 2 baby leaves first.

I’m not sure if my seedlings look “leggy”.

Also not sure what to do with the humidity dome- keep it on, open up the port holes, or take it off entirely?

Grateful for help and advice 🙂

No they don’t look leggy, but they will need light ASAP. I’d take off the humidity dome

Time to keep the dome off if you’re happy with the number that have sprouted. Also don’t keep the light on at night, plants need rest too apparently. It might be good to use the light as a supplemental light source because window light doesn’t usually give the ideal amount of light. You can get a free app on your phone to measure light if you want (I use Photone). You can google “best dli for pepper plant seedlings” for all the light info. Also you might want to set up a small fan to give them a light breeze to help keep the stems strong and deter mold from growing.

take off the dome and give them lots of light

Off the heat mat and under some lights.
