    Mussels, to me, need all the help they can get – and when they get that help – amazing! It’s a very agreeable shellfish to be dressed. Takes on flavor but is able to hold a nice texture and share that flavor space with the other ingredients. A capable trooper on menus. There’s even a place down on Long Island that specializes in mussel dishes – they have/had about 8-12 different mussel options all built off the mussels + broth + bread formula.

    Mussels are so good. πŸ’ͺ I like them buttered, or with cocktail sauce if I’m feeling spicy.
