Yes, Salisbury, the wait is finally over!

Ripieno’s Italian Ristorante, located behind the Panera restaurant in north Salisbury, opened to the public Jan. 28.

In a visit to the new eatery, a manager said the restaurant is currently only accepting walk-in traffic and no reservations as they get settled in, and for now at least limiting parties to 10-15 people.

Read on for more on the long journey that Ripieno’s took to opening in Salisbury.

When did construction first begin on Ripieno’s in Salisbury?

Ripieno’s Ristorante Italiano is owned by Kirby DiSeveria and construction on the full concept, authentic Italian restaurant, located at 2835 North Salisbury Blvd., began back in the fall of 2024.

Initial plans for the restaurant include a full-service dining area and bar with 200-plus indoor and outdoor seats, as well as a chef’s table, Sicilian room, wine room and private rooms. The restaurant will also feature three kitchens.

Other restaurants in the Ripieno’s family of eateries

Ripieno’s Italian Bistro, the original restaurant in Ocean City, is located at 3505 Philadelphia Ave. and open Mondays to Saturdays.

In addition to its original Ocean City location, Ripieno’s also operates a gelato shop, Bella’s Italian Bistro, at 1203 Mount Hermon Road in Salisbury. Bella’s offers fresh, homemade gelato and an array of authentic Italian desserts, all of which is outsourced to Ripieno’s Italian Bistro.
