Mud & Hound Plc, a Thai food and beverage company, and Paris Society, part of the Accor Group and a pioneer in premium French hospitality, have announced the formation of a joint venture.
The partnership calls for the companies to combine their respective strengths to preserve and enhance one of the world’s most storied dining establishments, Le Grand Véfour, which has operated since 1784 and boasts more than 240 years of gastronomic heritage.
Le Grand Véfour will unveil its new look and concept in the spring of 2026.
Under the joint venture, the partners will work together on menu direction, design, service, marketing and social media strategies to ensure the restaurant continues to celebrate French heritage while engaging a new generation of guests.
Le Grand Véfour is situated in the gardens of the Palais Royal in Paris and dates back to 1784. Known as a jewel of 18th-century arts décoratifs, it has long served as a gourmet rendezvous for political, artistic and high society.
The restaurant offers French gastronomy that combines historic luxury with modern vibrancy, attracting business leaders, top executives and affluent travellers.
The facility’s enduring allure has also found expression on screen, with appearances in the TV show Emily in Paris and Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris.
Supasith Sukhanindr, chief executive of Mud & Hound, said the collaboration brings together two companies that share a profound respect for culinary excellence, hospitality heritage and the art of creating memorable dining experiences.
“We are confident that Le Grand Véfour will continue to captivate diners from around the world and cement its position as one of the world’s most extraordinary dining destinations,” he said.
Laurent de Gourcuff, founder of Paris Society, said the partnership allows the company to bring its full expertise to preserving and elevating an institution that has defined French gastronomy for over two centuries.
“Together with Mud & Hound, we look forward to ensuring that Le Grand Véfour continues to shine on the global stage and to writing the next chapter of this extraordinary establishment’s story,” he noted.
