Honestly it looks decent to me. How was the taste OP?

Not a fail!

Dolly’s mixes always impress me because nearly everyone gets the result as described. With other things, people can screw those up with no effort at all.
Looks delicious!

Where’s the fail OP?! That looks yummy

I love the krusteaz brand crumb cake mix. For a boxed mix it’s actually really good. Haven’t tried Dollys but it looks very similar
butterabyss
it just looks like the layers are off but it doesn’t really matter. looks the same other than that
Xtracate
mine looked much worse than that but it tasted delicious so unless you were planning to sell it it doesn’t matter cuz it’s yummy

I’m a big fan of these dolly boxed products. Her fudge brownies are a big win. In reality it’s probably because she calls for milk and butter instead of oil and water (but I usually substitute those anyway).

I mean, I’d say that looks pretty damn good.

Dollys mix’s are good. The blueberry muffin mix with the instructions to make it a lemon blueberry coffee cake is fire!

I made this. It was good, but not great. Missing… something?

If it tastes good you did a good job, you can only improve from here.

There’s no fail here. This looks pretty damn good for box cake, imo.

I made this one and added apple filling and extra topping. It was really tasty.

I like the dolly mixes I’ve used! I make the cornbread a lot, my partner is vegan so I’ve even subbed out egg replacer and non-dairy ingredients and it was still really good

Since trying Dolly’s box mixes , it’s become my favorite go to !!!!

My sister used to write cookbooks for fun and a little extra money. When she was creating a coffee table book, she told me all about the food that was wasted in the process of producing a perfect image.
Frankly, I was horrified.

I’ve really liked all Dolly’s boxed mixes so far, especially the brownies and the cornbread!

And this has convinced me to give Dolly’s a try! Looks delicious!

Honestly this makes me want to buy it and I never buy boxed mix. Looks really good OP!

I don’t see an issue here. It’s about the same as the pictures.

Krusteez makes a fire cinnamon cake mix. Give it a try as a comparison

Just chiming in to say every Dolly mix I have tried has been excellent. Her pancake mix is the best.

Am I missing something? It looks close enough to the pic except your line is a tiny bit lower

I made Dolly’s boxed sugar cookies this weekend and they taste surprisingly more homemade than any other box cookie mix I’ve had! Paired with her canned strawberry buttercream icing was 👩🍳💋

They match, you messed up splitting the batter perfectly evenly but thats strictly an appearance issue

I’ve never seen these! Has anyone in Canada ever come across these mixes?

Looks delicious!

It probably would’ve baked better in a metal pan as glass does not produce evenly heated bakes. More specifically, light colored metal baking pans or sheets are best.

It’s clear you were not working 9 to 5 on it.
Expectation vs expectation?
