These are my go-to oatmeal chocolate chip cookies — turned into classic oatmeal raisin. I simply swapped the chocolate chips for raisins, and the result is soft, chewy, cozy, and full of that old-school oatmeal raisin flavor.

They bake up soft in the center, slightly crisp on the edges, and they freeze beautifully (if they even last that long!).

If you love a classic cookie with a soft bakery-style texture, you’re going to love these.

🍪 Soft & Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup brown sugar
• ½ cup white sugar
• 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
• 1 Tbsp vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup oats
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ¾ tsp salt
• 1 cup raisins

Instructions
1. Add all ingredients (except raisins) to a mixing bowl and mix until combined.
2. Fold in the raisins.
3. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet (about 3 Tbsp per cookie).
4. Bake at 350°F for 11 minutes. Cookies will look slightly underbaked — that’s perfect.
5. Let cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring.

Soft, chewy, and perfect warm — or straight from the freezer for a quick treat!
