Michigan Coney Dog 🌭
Comfort Food Across America 🇺🇸

Classic Michigan-style chili — smooth, savory, slow-simmered, and made specifically for hot dogs. Piled onto a grilled dog, tucked into a toasted bun, and finished with mustard and onions.

Simple. Messy. Iconic.

  1. Those hot dog weiners look like cheap weiners…. invest in some Nathans Hot Dogs, taste amazing and like actual beef, not knock off crap

  2. You basically made an "all the way". Regular mustard, then raw onion, and last the chili. With the cheese one put the cheese on before the chili.
Last, but not least, the hot dog should be Sabrett, Hebrew National, or Bests. NY/NJ here.

  3. It does sound good; however, instead of chili powder, I would use smoked paprika. Coney sauce is traditionally a Greek ("yes Gus, this is Greek") invention. I doubt they would have used chili powder. But, each to his or her own. 🤔

  4. I am from Detroit michigan … you have to try duly dog. This is nothing , nothing , nothing like detroit style connie's. , my friend , you've flunked on this ….😢one hundred percent

  5. “3 teaspoons of salt”
    Public service announcement:
3 teaspoons of anything equals 1 tablespoon

    You’re welcome.
