FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno ice cream store Ampersand took a stand during the nationwide “ICE Out” demonstration taking place across the country to make it clear to its customers that they are choosing to keep doors open.
In a message shared on social media, Ampersand wrote that they “continue to be a safe and welcoming space for our neighbors.”
Reflecting on nationwide concerns, management added that “many of the actions unfolding in neighborhoods across the nation do not reflect the spirit of the community we believe in.”
The company says that all of the proceeds from Friday’s business will be donated to a local nonprofit dedicated to uplifting and strengthening the people they serve.
