First off, sorry I didn’t take pictures of the food😞. I was too busy enjoying my partners company. But I haven’t seen any reviews of the place yet in this sub so I figured I’d add something. The main reason we came was because we were in the area for a different appointment and had parking validation covered.

We ordered two cocktails, crispy papaya tempura salad, spicy tuna crispy rice, seared Japanese scallops, crying tiger and fries.

The drinks I thought were very good with interesting flavors. I got the green thing which had pandan in it — I left feeling more buzz than I expected from one drink.

I enjoyed the food but FAR too expensive. Or maybe I’m expecting too much. It’s obviously the classic small plates style but damn these places really are pushing it. $21 for 3 scallops – they were the best dish IMO. The papaya salad was in a really good dressing but the papaya itself is tempura fried so it’s a plate of tempura essentially which was underwhelming to me. Crying tiger was a 5 3-inch long strips… bit too salty, but tender, cooked medium and served with a good dipping sauce. Still, too expensive at $32. Spicy tuna crispy rice was fine but also how do you mess that up??

The service was great. The space is designed beautifully. I enjoyed the meal overall but $160 for the bill felt far too expensive for the quality of the meal. My recommendation… go for an aperitivo… get a drink and a couple plates (raw fish) to share. No need to have full dinner.
