Not as fancy as the other stuff posted here: this is ~5kg of pulled pork i made today, will freeze it in thin plates to break off of for soups, fried rice, sauces, and so on. very efficient and easy preparation for ~1 year.

    Very cool!

By “freeze in thin plates” do you mean like pull everything, then put a thin later in like a ziploc bag? And have a bunch of frozen, thin ziplock bags that you can individually defrost?

    Please post your recipe!

We recently added a rule (#6) requiring either a recipe or list of ingredients, since it is so often requested. If you wouldn’t mind adding that we’d appreciate it!

I did something similar with 10lbs of carnitas once when I found pork butt on super sale. Loved it. I froze most of it in 2oz portions (2 portions per small bag, folded to keep the portions separated) so it was easy to use for tacos or whatever else I had in mind.

Recipe – for whatever you freeze, leave the pan frying step for after you thaw it.

Souper Cubes would be another great way to portion this out.

Talk about slow cooking. I don’t have a full year to prep this dish, but I’m sure it’s delicious anyway.

Oh you mean how long it stores for. My mistake!
