ST. LOUIS – Tacos La Jefa, a longtime south St. Louis taco shop, closed its location on Meramec Street on Saturday night due to rising operational costs. Meanwhile, a new business called Sweets by Sweet Waters opened the same day on St. Charles Rock Road in St. Louis County.
As restaurants close and open around the St. Louis region, many businesses are facing increased financial pressure from rising costs.
