Crispy Cones has reinvited the ice cone experience, offering a European dough-cone ice cream dessert shop… with a location opening this year at Eagle Plaza in Voorhees, New Jersey.
According to the Crispy Cones website, their signature treat is an ice cream cone featuring a sweet dough cone made famous in European countries such as the Czech Republic. The cone is made from fresh dough, grilled rotisserie-style, and coated with cinnamon and sugar or specialty flavored powders. It is then filled with a choice of spreads, gourmet soft-serve ice cream, fresh fruit, and a variety of delicious toppings.
The dough cone has a “bite” similar to a donut, but as the founders emphasized on television, it is not fried!

Crispy Cones – Shark Tank
Speaking of television, this young but fast-growing franchise received a major boost in 2023 when founders Jeremy and Kaitlyn Carlson appeared on Shark Tank and secured a $200,000 investment from Shark Tank original Barbara Corcoran.
Jeremy explains on the Celebrity Investor Shark Tank show that he served on a church based mission in the Czech Republic for two years, where a similar style dough cone was made at numerous (and very popular) street vendor stands.

Without any real experience in the business, he knew the dough cones would be a success in America and he set his sights on perfecting the recipe and opened the first location…which was a mobile food truck.
At the time of their 2023 presentation, Crispy Cones had just two storefront locations open. Less than three years later, the brand has grown to more than 30 locations open with over 100 franchises signed — including the “Coming Soon” Voorhees store.
I first heard about this location from a 42Freeway reader this morning who asked if I had covered it. On a frigid 11-degree Saturday morning, I was already heading out the door, so I stopped by to take a few photos.

Eagle Plaza is located at the intersection of Haddonfield-Berlin Road and White Horse Road and features anchor tenants including Acme, Ross, Five Below, and East Pickleball.
The new Crispy Cones storefront is located toward the center-left of the shopping center, a few units to the right of Five Below, directly next to Warhammer. During my visit, the main store signage and window graphics were already in place, including a beautiful photo showcasing their dough-cone ice cream creations. The windows were covered with paper, suggesting active interior construction is underway.
As mentioned, Crispy Cones’ signature item is their European-style baked dough cone, coated in cinnamon sugar or other specialty flavors. While the cones get most of the attention, the shop also serves fresh ice cream. A December 2025 post notes they offer 37 ice cream flavors, with the top five being cookie dough, salted caramel, maple donut, s’mores, and cheesecake.
Blending the best of both worlds, Crispy Cones is currently promoting its Deluxe French Toast creation, featuring a powdered sugar cone paired with French toast ice cream. The flavor has been a fan favorite for years, with sweet maple syrup notes delivering that familiar French toast taste everyone knows and loves.

Other highlighted flavors include apple caramel pie, berry banana pie, chocolate strawberry, and peanut butter banana. Everything is made using the freshest ingredients, including sweet, fresh fruits.
At this time, there is no confirmed opening date. However, since the location was first reported in June 2025 and signage went up in September, it’s reasonable to expect an opening as spring weather approaches.
