Looks good! What are you planning to smoke? That thing’s gonna go all day.

It’s nicely lined up, but which end are you going to ignite? You may need a little more space between the ends, so you don’t accidentally ignite both ends at the same time. Also, were you going to add any wood chunks?

I cannot accurately rate it until I see what direction you burn it 😅

No, it makes no difference, but I prefer counter-clockwise and I don’t know why.

Three rows? OK, ill need to try this, im always two, I do a small chunk of flavor wood in about five places in the snake too. 👍

Nice. Make sure to only put your wood along the first quarter though

So that’s 4 briquettes right? 2 bottom and 2 on top of that? Looks ready for a long cook 👌🏽

that thing is beautiful, what are you throwing on there?

Is this a 22” or 26”? I’ve been agonizing over which size to get.

I miss doing this when I had my Weber 😕 had to sell it last summer because I moved but probably will get another one this summer

If you light the wrong end it will extinguish due to the coriolis effect, Australia is especially susceptible to this phenomenon

It’s a great snake, strong, self confident, it’s a snake that knows what it wants and will play the long game to get it. It’s a handsome, self assured and broad snake. The snake has stamina and is measured in its output. That’s one of the finest snakes to have ever snaked!!!

If you light the wrong end the fire will extinguish due to the coriolis effect, this is especially problematic in Australia

Nice. I like to block off the bottom of my vortex when I run this configuration

The only issue I see is it’s made with Kingsford which puts out a ton of bad white smoke when it starts burning. I always make my snakes with an all wood briquette like Royal Oak All Natural or B&B briquettes. Yes it costs a bit more but it’s worth it IMO

With that little room between to you light it with out pouring briskets on top? I generally leave a little more room for the briskets from my chimney.

I’ve noticed that if I do two rows at the bottom and just one on the top, it allows me to control the heat a lot better. Also, I only light up 5-6 coals to start it. When I used to set two rows on the top and bottom, it would creep past 300°F easily.
